Buying and Selling in a Hot Calgary Housing Market

Buying and selling property in a rapidly changing market is stressful and challenging.  You do not want to get it wrong.  While every sutuation is unique and the general "rules" will not apply to everyone, here are some takaways to think about:
1. When the market is going up it is better to own two properties for a short period of time rather than none.
2. When the market is going down the reverse is true.
3. In a rapidly rising market if you sell first, then start looking for the perfect property you may find that you can't afford the property you had your heart set on!

So, while being in the situation of selling a property and buying a better one (for you) is stressful it can be done if you are careful.
